Freddy graduated with a First Class Honours Accountancy degree from the London School of Economics and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in 1990.
After a short secondment to learn about insolvency, Freddy decided that this was what he really wanted to do in life and so he qualified as an Insolvency Practitioner with Harris Lipman. Freddy now covers the full spectrum of insolvency appointments and tends to undertake the more complex assignments within the firm, including trading administrations, company voluntary arrangements, corporate and personal insolvency forensic investigations, turnarounds and Law of Property Act and Fixed Charge receiverships.
He has developed a specialism in working alongside solicitors and advisors to assist corporate purchasers of businesses out of insolvencies, negotiating with fellow IPs to secure a mutually beneficial sale of insolvent businesses. In addition, Freddy helps to resolve disputes between company directors and other insolvency practitioners by using his negotiating skills and thinking outside the box to formalise other, more commercial, solutions to their problems.
In the insurance world, it is clear that the impact of The Solvency II Directive will be significant and Freddy is able to assist in this area as well.
Freddy is licensed to act as an Insolvency Practitioner in the UK by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and is a Partner in the firm.
