AirSP Real Ale Evening - 2008-06-06
On Tuesday 3rd June we held our 5th Real Ale evening at St Andrews Tavern in Norwich city centre during the Cavell conference.
This very traditional English pub provided a warm welcome for delegates after a long day’s work. Some stayed all evening while others dropped in for a short while before going out to dinner but all thoroughly enjoyed the convivial atmosphere.

A wide selection of local and guest ales was available, some with interesting names such as the Everards beers “Sly Fox” and “Tiger” one of which featured a hint of ginger which when combined with beer, I was reliably informed, was a union perhaps best left to the likes of the famous five!!
The raffle prize, a magnum of champagne, was won by Lois Smith of Whittington Insurance Services Ltd.

We are grateful to Saints, a local café which provided an excellent buffet featuring a wide range of homemade salads, filled rolls, sausage rolls, quiches and lots more, all sourced from local produce.
