This innovative solution to a complex and long outstanding industry problem was devised jointly by Reinsurance Solutions, KPMG LLP and Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge UK LLP.
The judges felt the initiative will enable stakeholders to realise finality in a cost effective and straightforward manner which will ultimately benefit the whole market.

Company of the Year was won by Randall and Quilter
Judges recognised R & Q’s efficient management of its acquired liabilities and its vision in linking up with a European partner to maximise opportunities in the European Acquisitions market. The award also recognised R & Q’s significant contribution to the market through its hosting and sponsorship of conferences throughout the world.
Randall and Quilter also won the Management Service Provider of the Year Award for its commitment to legacy business and its dedicated expansion programme.

Services to Legacy Business Award was won by Peter Matthews of EMB for his pioneering work on commutation and schemes of arrangement. Over a period of 20 years his contribution has had an enduring impact on the field of legacy business and made EMB the most widely respected actuarial company in the market.
