The Reinsurance Association of America (RAA), established in 1968 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., is a national trade association representing property and casualty reinsurers and brokers that specialize in reinsurance. RAA membership is diverse, including large and small direct writers and brokers in the U.S. and subsidiaries of foreign companies.

In addition to its advocacy role, the RAA also produces a variety of legal and statistical products and educational seminars for the benefit of its members and related industry professionals.

The RAA's Reinsurance Education Institute is the pre-eminent provider of reinsurance education in the U.S. The Institute's curriculum of education programs concentrate on reinsurance from the perspective of both buyer and seller. RAA members--veteran reinsurance professionals--are instrumental in developing and delivering the program content to ensure the most comprehensive overview of the subject matter. The programs have educated thousands of industry professionals and are an exceptional educational forum for industry professionals to enhance their working knowledge about core reinsurance disciplines and broaden their professional expertise.
